The academic curriculum of Marylawn of the Oranges Academy is enhanced by student participation in the variety of co-curricular events and activities. The opportunities are designed to enable students to explore their creativity, to develop their artistic, musical, athletic talents and to develop their leadership abilities and collaborative efforts. There is much to do and become at Marylawn: music and dance, journalism, and forensics, prayer experiences and reflection, honor society, class activities and varsity sports!

For the sports-minded student, Marylawn offers seven varsity teams:

Basketball Dance

Cheerleading Track

Volleyball Drill (Step Team)

Softball

All students are encouraged to join any one of our clubs and teams. Students must, however, maintain good academic standing and conduct herself properly while demonstrating good behavior in order to join or remain in any of the aforementioned clubs, activities and sports teams.

Like Roses

Like roses we grow from this dirt.
Our roots are deep in the foundation of this place,
And the foundation is strong.
Strong, solid, and stable.

Determined to make us grow.
It nurtured our bulbs and pushed up our stems,
From buds that grew, our petals arrived,
Lush, magnificent, and moist.

Determined to make us full.
Full with the knowing,
The knowing which we pollinate the rest of the Earth.
Powerful, experienced, able.

Determined to make us beautiful.
Those who pass by wish they could view our hues longer.
The presence of diversity among our fields is astonishing.
A sight to devour, one to admire, remember forever.

And our stems shall never forget this place.
We never die, we remain,
Solid, strong, and stable.
As when we first bloomed.

Then when we are plucked from our fields,
We are scattered among the Earth.
Our roots are everlasting.
The process continues, the cycle begins again.

The roses behind us bloom,
For the next season, and the season after that one.
And their foundation will make them grow, full, and beautiful.
